Our data come from worldometer.info, with data points for every third year since 1953 in addition to 1951 and 2017. Our carrying capacity is 10,000, from analysis of estimates from several different sources. Our logistic regression has an R squared value of 99.97% and our exponential an R-squared value of 99.08%, showing that for the available data a logistic regression is a better fit. The intersection of the red carrying capacity line and the two regression lines show the predictions of when the carrying capacity will be met. The exponential function predicts that it will occur at 82.8 years after 1950, or around 2032-2033. Our logistic function predicts the intersection in approximately 2053-2054.
